Question for people who know how to read sheet music?
Does anyone with a good grasp of music know about ChordSongs by DrawMusic? If musical tones can be made with just bars (as it is with ChordMusic) then what is the benefit of learning to read traditional sheet music? Is there a big difference between the two? Can I find popular songs presented in this ChordSongs type of format rather than just regular sheet music? I’m really lost about this. (I do plan to take music next year, but in the meantime I still wanna learn what I can- but without hassling with the sheet music- just yet- if possible.)
MY MISSION: TO FIND POPULAR HIT MUSIC THAT’S IN AN EASY TO READ (FOR TOTAL BEGINNERS) FORMAT SO I CAN STUDY THE HITS AND LEARN SOME OF THE ELEMENTS (RHYTHM/BASE/BEAT/ETC) THAT MAKE A SONG A HIT IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD- THEN I CAN PRACTICE IN THAT STYLE ON CHORDSONGS.
If you are serious about music and want to take proper training in it, forget the short cuts and learn the proper sheet music an notation. It is the Global standard and has been for Centuries. The sooner you start learning it the better. It is not difficult to learn some of the basics. If you really want a lazier method then look into Guitar Pro Software.
