What does the F/G notation mean in piano sheet music?
I’m still new at music theory, and I’ve read about how you can take a chord and play it in a different order, such as C/G would have G as the first note in the chord, followed by C and E. But what is F/G? I’ve seen this in a song, and wasn’t sure if this was just a guitar chord, or if this is something that can be played on the piano. It doesn’t make sense, since G isn’t part of the F chord (F-A-C), is it?

It acutally means an F chord with a G bass.
The C/G you mention is also of this form — C chord with a G bass. Play the normal chord, but with a different bass note.
