I need ideas for a song to sing at a piano recital?
So, I’ve been learning how to play piano for about a month now, and I have a recital in a couple weeks. I’m playing My Heart Will Go On aka the song from titanic. I had a lesson today, and I had told my teacher that I had also gotten into this select singing group(sort of like glee club) after auditioning for it. it’s hard to get in, and she was proud. She said she would love if I also sang something separately at the recital. I want to, but I have no clue what I should sing. I’d love for it to be a song that is well known, and a song I can easily find sheet music to online for my teacher to play while I sing. Also, a laid back song. Nothing too upbeat or anything. Tell me if you have any ideas, and if you can give me a link to the sheet music, that would be amazing! But just some ideas would be good too. Maybe some songs from Broadway? Or whatever haha
Well this song isn’t THAT well known… and the lyrics are really deep, but it’s a very beautiful piano song. It’s called My Immortal and it’s by Evanescence. You can easily find the sheets online. I’m not sure if it’s exactly what you’re looking for, but it’s just an idea!
