Where can i find sheet music for a Trombone/Flute Duet in christmas Music?
I have searched the internet and con not find anywhere to get a duet for my wife and i to play at church. With the time of year I was hoping to find some kind of christmas carol.
I own a chamber music business, and am a flutist – and there is NO decent music for that combo. I suggest that you look at violin and cello duets – doors will open for you. Or of course, the area of interchangeable music. Go to www.lastresortmusic.com, and look over the huge amount of stuff they have. Church, you say? Gotta be a keyboardist/organist. Get the Music for Three series – get Parts 1,2,3 and also the keyboard book. You cab play this in many combination – and since you get the Part 2 book, if you add another player, you can do this *without* keyboard, too. The upper parts come in various transpositions, if you need a clarinet book, for example. This stuff will not be cheap – but you will be set up for a long time – how long do you expect this marriage to last? (wink, wink – we are going on 37 years . . )
Or – just get a decent notation program – even Finale Notepad for cheap, or Noteflight for free, if you do not wan to spend for full-featured Sibelius or Finale – and start your own arranging, or note entry form extant music. The parts will print great, and you can build up quite a library for yourselves over the years. If you search trumpet/trombone duets, you can transpose the trumpet parts for flute this way. If you REALLY get into this – you can use music scanning programs, so you do not have to enter all those notes by hand – but scanning is not a perfect art, and wil need tweaking.
