Learning piano-Why do so many people get stressed out and stop learning piano & how to read sheet music?
What happens when someone who has no idea how to play the piano go to a piano that has sheet music on the rack and the sit down in front of the piano or keyboard and they have no idea what to do or how to play it? Is their brain on vacation or what,I am a pianist(beginner)and I play my keyboard by ear and I don’t want to have to rely on written sheet music to play piano,BUT now I do want to learn how to read music,I want to master piano by 2020(year) and I want to be able to play any song that I wants to,I sometimes feel like my brain is on vacation,I do read a lot of reading.
Reading music can be difficult for many and takes alot of determination. My parents always had a piano, but refused to give me lessons, and my dad played by ear. I ended up getting those EZ play books with the notes inside to learn what/where they were. Then, my mom put me in band to get the beats/notes down like 1/2 notes, 1/4 notes, etc…I will admit, it takes me FOREVER to learn a new piece of music because I have to literally decipher each piece and it doesn’t come natural to me.
I think much of my frustration comes from not being properly taught. If you found someone to teach you well, you may not have as much trouble.
