How do i transpose tuba music to bass guitar music?
i just started concert band at my school and i need to start practicing but all my instructor had was tuba sheet music. he told me to move it up to fit the bass because the tuba notes were too low..
You tranpose it up an octave! its as simple as that…or I would actually just take the notes you cant play on the bass because they are too low and only play those up an octave. The rest of the notes I would play as if I were reading for the bass. You should definitely get a five string because that would make it so much easier to read the low notes and there would be only several notes that would very rarely force you to play up the octave.
