The first thing you have to know about using tutorials to play the piano is that there are many different options and you might have to try several different programs before you find the one that works for you. The reason for this is that people all learn music differently. There are some people who really identify with the reading sheet music aspect of learning and playing music. They are able to pick up quickly on the value of the notes and where they belong on the keyboard. This is called learning to play by ear, and it is a method highly recommended by many expert musicians. This is because you will never be lost when you don’t have music, because you can match what you hear to notes on the piano.

No matter which way you think that you would like to learn to play the piano, there are tutorials out there that will tell you how to proceed. If you think that you might need to experiment with a few different programs before you will be able to learn the style that fits your learning method best, that is alright. It is always better to try a few different options that pay for something that you don’t like. You can also look up videos and other types of tutorials that are more hands on.
